Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil

  • 25 Curzon Street Derby, England, DE1 1LH United Kingdom (map)

Derbyshire LGBT+ invites you to a special evening of reflection and solidarity as we honour the lives of transgender individuals lost to violence and discrimination.

There will be a candlelit vigil followed by an open mic where we invite people to share thoughts, stories, or poetry in a supportive space.

Date: Wednesday 20th November

Time: 6pm - 8pm

Location: Derbyshire LGBT+, 25 Curzon Street, Derby, DE1 1LH

Why We Mark This Day: Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is observed annually on November 20th to memorialize those who have died as a result of transphobic hate and violence. It is a day to draw attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community and to honour their memory.

Livestream: Can’t make it in person? Join us on Facebook Live to participate in the vigil from anywhere.

Let’s come together as a community to remember and support. Your presence matters.
