LGBT+ Families Workshop : language, stereotypes, scenarios
LGBT+ Family Workshop : language, stereotypes and scenarios (and a space to ask us anything)
We know that so many important conversations happen at dinner tables, school gates, playgrounds and in passing.. we want to support as many people as possible to be able to confidently represent and advocate for the LGBT+ community in these scenarios. To support this, we’re hosting a series of workshops for members of LGBT+ families to learn more about the community, what language to use, how to be an ally and how to handle different situations. LGBT+ families come in all shapes and sizes, and you might be: a person who is/was planning a family through adoption, fostering or IVF, a person who has had children (even if they are now adults), a person who is a close support network of an LGBT+ family, a person working with families and children, or an ally wanting to stay informed. It is a space to make mistakes, learn, bring your questions, share your own knowledge, and generally connect with others who are or have been on similar journeys.

Derby Family Group
Our groups are an informal and safe space for LGBT+ family of any shape, size and make up. At each family session, we simply connect over coffee, cake and conversation. There are also optional activities for you to get involved in related to the theme of the month.
Hairspray Screening
Come join us and our friends at QUAD - Derby for a very special screening of the John Waters classic 'Hairspray' hosted by drag icon Binbag!
There will be a post-show discussion over free food where we discuss Divine, drag, dancing and LGBT+ history in Derby.

This event will provide a space for LGBT+ people to learn more about adoption and/or fostering. Bring your own questions to ask either in a group setting or one on one. There’ll be people from our community there who have adopted/fostered who you can ask questions. There’s no obligation - you can join simply to gain information for yourself in the future, or for others you might be supporting.

Rainbow Walk 2025
The Rainbow Walk returns for 2025 to raise funds for Derbyshire LGBT+ and Derby Pride ✨🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
This year's walk promises to be accessible to everyone, ensuring that participants of all abilities can join in the fun. The route will take us to Markeaton Park and will culminate in a lively BBQ at The Crown, where participants can relax, enjoy delicious food, and celebrate together. It's a wonderful opportunity to show solidarity, support a great cause, and have a fantastic time with the community!

LGBT+ Blood on The Clocktower
Join us for a game of blood on the clocktower a social deduction game, have fun in a safe space.
Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller.
A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.
