Our Family Group is joining the Wirksworth Weekender on 1st June to create a space for LGBT+ families in Derbyshire.

The group is an informal space for LGBT+ families of any age, shape, size and make up. It is a space to simply connect over a drink and conversation, with plenty of optional activities for all ages to get involved in - these would all be related to celebrating the LGBT+ community.

Maybe you’re new to the area and want to meet other LGBT+ families? Perhaps you are an LGBT+ parent and want to connect with others on the same journey? Maybe your sibling is LGBT+ and you want to learn more about how to support them? You could be considering fostering or adoption? Any LGBT+ people and their partners, relatives or friends are welcome to join the family group session.

The group is are led by qualified, experienced LGBT+ staff that are DBS checked and Paediatric First Aid trained with active safeguarding procedures to protect attendees. You can meet our Families Worker Sonia, who is hosting the session on our team page here.
